Voice Over - Audiobook Narrations


Voice over narrations have been around since the days of silent movies, for obvious reasons. I'm doing select public domain stories by some of my favorite authors including, in particular, H.P. Lovecraft.  The first short story, "The Moon-Bog," by Lovecraft is now posted below in streaming flash. My story mixes include production music and sound effects. I love sound mixing. I also enjoy old-style radio dramas a bit more than contemporary audiobooks which seldom contain more than music beds for lead-ins, ending credits and chapter changes.   Sound effects add a great deal to the story imagery.

Voice over stories are also a good part of any hurricane preparedness plan.  CD players and iPods use fewer batteries than do portable TVs, and scary stories are great to listen to during a storm.
