Profile - Education and Voice Over Experience

Education:

Bachelor of Arts (1986) in Communication with a focus in critical analysis, plus technical writing, copywriting and radio scriptwriting.

Associate of Arts (1982) in performance and technical theatre, including sound engineering, lighting and set design.

Experience:

Largest percentage of work performed is in interactive voice response and voice mail systems in English and Spanish; next is corporate presentations and tutorials, web-based presentations, flash and podcasts; and less frequently TV and radio spots and audiobooks.

Most recent clients include Smart Duck Publications (children's narration), BMW Group Financial Services Mexico, Image Teleproducts, and GloryStar Satellite Systems (local market TV commercial).

Live performance experience includes on-air promos and live storybook narrations for Selkirk Communications in the 1980's and stage experience, including lead roles in musicals: "Lucy" in Your A Good Man Charlie Brown and "Madame Hortense" in Zorba .

Prior member of the South Florida Actors' Equity Workshop which included vocal training, characterizations and improvisation.

Other workshops include phonetics for stage actors, singing, improvisation, stage dialects, and stage fighting which included vocal control and delivery during physical activity.
